We are a training center for the American Heart Association and American Safety & Health institute. Prevention MD offers a wide range of classes, ACLS, BLS Healthcare, First Aid, CPR, and AED (Automated External Defibrillator) training for Adult, Child and Infant setting. We offer additional courses in Blood borne Pathogens, HIV/AIDS and Medical Emergency Drills.

Course Overview New and Renewal

The Heartsaver CPR AED, First Aid course is designed to meet the regulatory requirements for OSHA and WISHA. The course teaches you how to respond and manage illnesses and injuries in an Adult, child (infant optional) in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. The course covers, how to call 9-1-1, making sure the scene is safe, finding the problem, stopping bleeding, bandaging, using an Epinephrine pen, bites, stings choking, seizure, allergic reactions and so much more. Each student will receive a first aid book.

Our Courses for New and Renewal

SafeGard offers the following courses:
  • Traditional CPR/AED/First Aid (infant optional)
  • Online CPR/AED/First Aid (infant optional)
  • First Aid only
  • CPR/AED only (infant optional)

Traditional - This course is lead by an AHA-certified instructor and is 6-8 hours in length. The Childcare Provider course combines audiovisuals with hands-on practice. The course concludes with an instructor-led demonstration and discussion.

Online Hybrid course - This course is the most popular!
The online is a two step course.
Step one: is the online course. The online is self paced, you can stop and start as often as you like. The online takes about 1.5-2.0 hours to complete. You will have access 24/7
Step two: Practical Skills, you MUST complete a Practical Skills with an AHA instructor in order to receive an AHA Certification that will be valid for two years.

The practical skills session is is offered Thursday nights at our office in Redmond from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. Within these two hours you will be working with manikins, AEDs, Epinephrine pen, finding a problem and so much more. Go to Register now!
